However, using a pattern of short sentences is itself a serious writing error. You should begin to work on sentence combining so that your sentence length averages some 17-25 words. Combining sentences means that you will have to also become familiar with using commas and a conjunction to join sentences, as well as learning how to set off introductory structures.
