Was Because

Was Because

Don't use the "was because" structure. The verb "was" is a linking verb that needs to be immediately followed by a noun or an adjective. Since, "because" is an adverb, the word can't be used after the linking verb. Usually, you improve the sentence by using "that" in the place of "because."
